A library of voices where Black women share their own practices, experiences, and acts of protecting Black women and girls.
We invite Black women to share their own stories of protection in action—the ways you've defended, uplifted, and supported Black women and girls in your life. Whether through everyday acts of care, community organizing, mentorship, or solidarity, your stories matter and deserve to be heard.
A mother recounts the painful moment she must teach her nine-year-old daughter how to recognise and survive racist danger. Balancing love, fear, and urgency, she reveals the weight of preparing a child for a world that too often fails to protect her where protection means truth, vigilance, and difficult lessons no child should have to learn.
Your experiences matter. If you have a story about protecting, defending, or uplifting Black women and girls—whether it's an act of everyday care, community organizing, mentorship, or solidarity—we want to hear from you.
Submit your story to build this growing library of protection in action and inspire others in our community.
